Built on resort standards.
Tuned to Vermont.
Dylan Hoyt CPO is a one-person Vermont pool service practice backed by seventeen years of resort and hospitality aquatics work. Resort-grade systems, residential pricing, and the same operator on every job.
From a Myrtle Beach pool deck to a Rochester driveway.
I grew up in Vermont and moved to Myrtle Beach at fifteen. The first job that mattered was the pool deck at Wyndham Ocean Boulevard — chemistry, equipment, and what it actually takes to keep a resort pool reliably swimmable for hundreds of guests a day. From there I worked my way through Paradise Resort and into resort facilities work in earnest.
The next decade was executive facilities management — Chief Engineer roles at Killington Mountain Lodge, DoubleTree South Burlington, and Paradise Resort Myrtle Beach. Pools were a fraction of what those jobs covered, but they were the part I gravitated toward: the systems thinking, the seasonal rhythm, the small chemistry decisions in May that prevent big chemistry problems in August.
I came back to Vermont to raise a family and started Dylan Hoyt CPO out of the recognition that residential and small-commercial pools in this region deserve the same operational rigor that resort properties get — they just rarely receive it. The business is built on that bet: a single PHTA-Certified Pool Operator showing up at every visit, the same way a good resort engineer would, with documentation a future owner could pick up and run with.
We’ve narrowed the menu intentionally. Recurring service contracts, small repairs, above-ground pool capital projects, and pre-purchase inspections — that’s the offering. Anything outside it goes to a partner I trust. The work I do, I do well. The work I don’t do, someone else does better, and pretending otherwise would waste your time and mine.
If we’re a fit, you’ll know on the first visit. If we’re not, I’ll tell you directly and point you to someone who is.
The short version.

Lindsey Jarrell
Behind every reliable service business is somebody making sure the records actually exist. For Dylan Hoyt CPO, that’s Lindsey Jarrell — my wife and operational partner. She holds a Master of Science in Library and Information Science, and she runs the data systems, the documentation, and the preventive maintenance schedules that turn a single visit into a tracked history.
If you ever sell your house or hand off your pool to a new caretaker, the records will be there because Lindsey insisted on building them properly from the start. Most of her work is for Oversight LLC, our affiliated hotel building-systems monitoring practice, but the recordkeeping standards she sets there shape this side of the business too.
The short version: if I’m the operator, she’s the system that makes sure none of the operating gets lost.
Rochester, year-round, full-time.
We live in Rochester, Vermont, raising two kids in the same valley I grew up in. The decision to come back was deliberate — Dylan Hoyt CPO is built around a long-term Vermont practice, not a side hustle.
Vermont’s pool season runs April through October. The shoulder months are when documentation gets caught up, equipment gets serviced, and clients get the written summaries Lindsey’s system makes possible. Vermont rewards people who stick around long enough to learn its rhythms. We’re staying.
Pricing is published. The next step is yours.
Every contract and one-off service rate is posted publicly on the pricing page — no “quote on request” for things we do every day. If you’d rather just talk it through, the contact form is the fastest way in.
